About conference

Sustainability and innovation are not the future but the present scenario. The linear model of economic growth can no longer meet the needs of modern society in a global world. So, the question arises – sustainable consumption and production: how to make it possible?

Lithuania’s experience shows that the best results can be achieved when all interested parties unite for the sake of sustainability: small and large businesses, representatives of science, the state itself and politicians.

Therefore, Institute of Environmental Engineering of Kaunas University of Technology in cooperation with The Baltic University Programme (BUP) and VšĮ “Mes Darom” invite you to the 4th international conference, during which we will share good practices and seek to examine the challenges that arise for politicians, business, science and society, while restructuring the economy according to the European green deal, and discuss plans for the near future.

The hybrid conference will take place in KTU Santaka Valley, K. Baršausko str. 59 Kaunas, Lithuania on 10-11 of November 2022.

Conference language – Lithuanian (with translation) and English.

Conference fee: 150 Eur full fee and 100 Eur for online participants (50 Eur for online students). For BUP members the conference is free of charge.

Publication

Conference proceedings

All abstracts (oral and poster) presented during the Conference will be included in electronic Conference proceedings.

Publication in EREM

Papers presented during the conference can be submitted to the „Environmental Research, Engineering and Management“ (EREM) [Scopus; CiteScore 2021= 1,7; Open Access].

The full text of the article should be sent to Conference Organiser for pre-review by 15th December. The journal offers 50% discount of the regular publication fee. Papers have to pass a standardised review procedure by the EREM.

Participation mode

Oral presentations: It is advised to prepare presentations in Microsoft PowerPoint format.

Poster presentations: the posters should be prepared by applying Stand A1 (841×594).

Deadline for submitting abstracts is 21 of October. The decision on admission will be announced not later than 24 of October
